More big fishes

Lord, please give us more big fishes this week. I'm praying for Php 20,000 income this week. I know there's nothing impossible on you.

You said that if we seek first Your Kingdom and your righteousness, then, ALL these things shall be added unto us! Lord, we did seek you. You know that. We just put our faith and trust on you. Amen

What is the difference between GRACE and MERCY?

This was the question posed in our LGN-Y'AM (Life Group Network-Young Adult Ministry) last Sunday- July 24, 2011.

Each of us were given a chance to differentiate it but none of us got it right. It was so tricky and similar.

Our group leader explained the difference of both.

She said GRACE is something that we receive from God even if we don't deserve. For example, if you're a student and you did not review before the test but still you passed the test, that's Grace. It is the unmerited favor that comes from HIM.

On the other hand, she explained that MERCY is when God is not punishing us even if we really deserved to be punished. For example, I knew I did something very wrong, I'm supposed to be punished by God but since He has given me His mercy, He will not punish me anymore.

Isn't it great to differentiate the two? Imagine we've been using these terms for so long but we are not aware of the deeper meanings.

Lord, thank you for all the GRACE and MERCY you are giving me.

FIRST BIG FISH

Father, I know you are an able God; an ever-present one; the ultimate answer to our needs. You know how we worked to get this first big fish, how we sacrificed our meals and sleep late. You know our desires and motive. We simply want this one to succeed and be approved since we are on the final step of exchanging the items to cash. Please allow it to successfully happen. I know you can do miraculous things. Please write “4” in each and every piece legibly.  My readers (if there are as of the moment) can’t comprehend what I’m talking about because there are very few people who knows this but Lord, you know what I’m talking about. Please side on us. We did the best that we can. Have mercy on us.Amen.

Are you ready for the storm?

Look at this picture. How do you see it? What do you feel looking at it?

If you're a pessimist, fear is the very first thing that will come into my mind followed by reactions like "Look how big that storm is!" or "It'll be washing off the people and the city."; or "Scary!", etcetera, etcetera!

But if you're an optimist,  you'll even appreciate how great the shot of storm was. Indeed, it was a nice shot. Honestly, I just googled the picture. I don't know if it was real or it was edited. But let's say it's a real shot, wouldn't you be surprised seeing such? I hope I could capture one! Or let's say, it was an edited one, wouldn't you commend the one who edited it and made it so natural?

This blog's title is Storm of Blessings, that is why I use pictures of storm. I don't want storms literally. They visit us here in the Philippines in certain seasons and I don't get paid when they are here. Yet, I'm amazed of how I came up with this title. Like I really feel that storm of blessings is coming my way... and it seems that God is asking me, "Are you ready for the storm of blessings, Rache?"

... and I will answer, "Yes, Lord. I am ready! Blast them in!"

Storm of Blessings

Why this title?

Simple...

"Storm of Blessings"

because all of the other titles I placed in were no longer available. But not my loss though! I think I like the title as it is... "STORM OF BLESSINGS"... It sounds so strong and firm that blast of blessings are coming not just shower or rainfall or tiny blitz of blessings.

I'll be writing about the storm of blessings that God delivered, delivering and will deliver this 2011 & onwards. I'm changing my home blog. http://www.yumiaspene.blogspot.com/ shall be put to rest. It has been inactive for a year now and I'm having problems with its email address. So there, my new blog, "STORM OF BLESSINGS" has been born.:)

Yay!
